Evening Class is 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
In this class, you will learn to make a favorite Hispanic staple Argentinian style — the empanada! This is a demonstration and hands-on class, where you will learn how to make the dough from scratch and flavorful fillings. I will talk about store bought doughs that can be found in several grocery stores as well.
You will learn to make three fillings:
Beef (with ground beef but will also explain how to make this filling with meat cut by hand)
Ham and cheese (a children and adults favorite with some secrets for you to achieve the best flavor and for them not to open when you bake them.
Veggie (caramelized onions, corn and bechamel sauce).
I will also show you how to make different “repulgues” which is a sealing technique with different variations. You will make your own empanadas and will bring home half dozen to bake at home (2 of each flavor).
